Do you know why you don't like leaving unread emails in your inbox? How about the little red notifications icon on your social media page? Or a text message you receive when you're driving - it just can't stay unread even though you know it's not very safe to look at your phone while driving. Why do we do these things? Why are we compelled to complete a glaringly simple but extremely low priority task? And how do we fix it? I'll tell you the answer, but you probably aren't going to like it.
